Someone I thought understood asked if my T is constant. Does she think I would suffer if it was not constant? I cannot do this anymore
Sorry to bother you..how is your tinnitus? You've been taking some supplements, are you taking anything now?
I can relate. I never liked sharing an office due to all the extra chatter, noise, interruptions, food smells, etc. And that's with only 1 or 2 others before I had severe T. Fortunately, I eventually got my own office.
I feel your pain. Dealing with stomach pains, insomnia, anxiety, TTTS, hyperacusis, hearing loss, even some possible nerve pain.
tinnitus literally a 0.5/10 rn. i know that it wont stay this way due to my tinntisu “cyclus” but i really want to report this
Nice. I would love to experience that. It's been quite a few years since I have experienced tinnitus that I could even mask with a fan at night.
Update, my nerve pain on my ear the icepick stabs stopped after some months. Only occasional jaw pain. T is exactly the same since day 1
“At the time, my life just seemed too complete, and maybe we have to break everything to make something better out of ourselves.”
Last night terrible insomnia again.. awake for 4-5hrs.. hearing painful tsskkshhkksss.. god.. how i hope to find easeful sleep again
I feel your pain. Last 2 nights were bad for me, and that's even taking 50 mg Quviviq (newer sleep med) before bedtime and 3 mg Ambien overnight. Broken sleep and waking up with high anxiety, to boot.
After 4 years of relative peace and normality, my own recklessness has made things worse than ever. Trying to stay positive, but its hard...
@4Grace, thanks for the kind words. During the worst time, I wore ear protection. I did gardening and fishing in quiet place to have fun too
I've had 2 seemingly permanent increases since March and I'd say it's about 4 times the volume it was.
Sorry to hear that. I went through a sudden multi-fold increase in tinnitus 27 months ago. Any suspected cause for your recent worsenings?
Mine seemed to increasingly get louder and more volumes in the first 6-8 months of worsening. I’ve had quite a few stretches of quiet tinnitus since, ‘quiet’ being subjective
Hi, I'm taking the liberty of writing to you here. I saw one of your posts where you said you had no trouble sleeping. Do you have loud tinnitus with horrible tones? How does your brain manage to ignore this and get a good night's sleep???
It is honestly a total mystery. It's almost like I 'black out'. I don't usually remember coming close to sleep. I think my brain is just happy to finally turn off. I usually have water noises playing and a very loud air conditioner as well, but neither of those cover the noise in my skull.
Is it possible to lose hearing by using silicone airplugs (loops) almost 24/7? I'm afraid of overprotecting but TTTS is so annoying.
Mother developed MEM after cold. Thinks it is correlated with her TMJ but having myself experience with that I don't think it'll disappear.
There will be a huge thunderstorm today. 1 day before my room was supposed to be soundproofed. I don't feel anything anymore
I am truly sorry. You are not alone. I relate to everything you say. My reactivity to sounds could not be worse.
All I want is to be able to sleep well with this shit, that's all. Tell me that's possible with really horrible tinnitus like that. (3/3)
Other than that, i try to live a healthy natural lifestyle.. plant based diet works for me, practices like mindfulness, going for walks, sometimes distractions with gaming.. living a healthy lifestyle & hope that at some point things get better and can sleep easefully again
its possible, i sleep well with very bad reactive tinnitus. I have 3 tiers depending how loud it is 1. Melatonin 5mg 2. Restavit tablet 3. 7.5mg-15mg Mirtazapine
Mirtazapine at low doses (less than 15mg) will knock you out. I cut a 15mg tab into quarters and I slept for nearly 24hours. Be careful with it as it has very rarely been associated with Visual Snow Syndrome
and I also think maybe for some people they think it's severe while for others it might not be. But anyone here with a 10 alarme siren?(2/3)
There's so many factors. Too many. I have very loud tinnitus tones that I deal with okay and others that I struggle with greatly.
I need to hear from people with really severe and reactive tinnitus who manage to sleep with it. I know it's hard to compare tinnitus.(1/3)
@Andrew40 - hello. I forget how much I relate to your case. You have been inside for 1/2 a year. I have been isolating more and more. I wish at the least it helped a little. I’m not sure about you but I will stay in silence for a week, get one percent better only to worsen from an accidental noise exposure. Over and over and over.
Made the unfortunate realisation that I might have hyperacusis from all of this :/ Find myself wincing and ears piercing at 70dB< :(
A friend came to visit today and his laugh peaked at over 100 decibels multiple times. I’m fucked. I’ll have hyperacusis by tomorrow.
